The Coppice Woodland

Eco glamping a stone’s throw from Cambridge

The Coppice Woodland

Our ‘glamping’ site is a collection of intertwined ‘rooms’. We let the site to one family or couple at a time so our unique ‘glamping’ site offers exclusive use of our native two acre woodland.

The living area

A stunning Lebanese cedar single slab dining table and open glade.

Fire pit and butler sink with another slab worktop and water hand pump

Sleeping Arrangements

A renovated 1973 VW camper van with a permanent full sized double bed at one end and a small children’s (up to about aged 6) double bed at the other end (where the driver and passenger seats used to be)

A bell tent with double futon to sleep two or use as a living area.

cedar shingle canopy for sheltered dining should it rain

a genuinely beautiful twin vault dry compost toilet (really!) and ‘bathroom’ (wood fired hot tub and solar shower).

Meditation spaces and games areas include a two hole ‘golf course’, rustic football goals.

An opportunity to see a working smallholding where guests are welcome to take part in and ask us about any areas of our work; vegetable and fruit growing, bee keeping, meadow upkeep and orchard and woodland management.

We are also happy to answer any questions you may have about our ecologically sound self built house, domestic wind turbine, rain water harvesting, reed bed water recycling, solar panels and bore well water supply. Our vineyard was planted in 2012.

The romantic woodland site offers bathing under the stars in the indulgent wood fired hot tub. This is a great family event or something special just for two.

Party Numbers

The renovated VW camper can sleep 2 adults and two small children in the curved end of the van (probably up to the age of 6 years), the bell tent can sleep 2. Our sister site the Secret Garden can be booked at the same time tom facilitate larger groups or two families.

The cost is from £240 for two nights for up to 4 people.
